This really pretty Victorian heart-shaped locket is crafted from 9ct gold, front and back. Adorned with an engraved ivy leaf at its centre, other floral engravings continue on the back of the locket and the inside is empty.

It is a sweet size, measuring 1.7cm x 1.7cm and weighs 1.97g.  It is not hallmarked, but has been tested for 9ct gold.

In the Victorian age, ivy leaves signified marriage and the phrase, 'cling to thee'.   They appear on many sweetheart jewellery items, especially lockets and pendants.
